How To Brew The Perfect Cup Of Coffee

Ever wondered how to brew the perfect cup coffee? It really isn’t as expensive as you might think.

A cafetiere, also known as a French press or coffee press, is a simple way to make great tasting coffee. With just a few minutes of your time and some basic supplies, you can have delicious coffee that is far superior to anything you could get from a coffee shop. Plus, it’s much cheaper!

The origin of the cafetiere is unknown, but it is believed to have been invented in the early 1900s. The French Press coffee maker was patented by Italian designer Attilio Calimani in 1929. His design is very similar to the modern day French Press that we know today.

Coffee contains caffeine which is a stimulant, it can help to keep us awake and alert. Coffee also has some health benefits, one being reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes. It also contains antioxidants which can help to protect our cells from damage.

Brewing coffee with a cafetiere brings out all of the flavour and aroma from the beans. This is because the coffee grounds are steeped in water for a few minutes, allowing all of the flavours to be extracted.

The first step is to boil some water. You will need around 200ml per cup of coffee. Then, you need to select the perfect coffee grind. If the grind is too fine, the coffee will be bitter and if it’s too coarse, the coffee will be weak.

So now you know a little bit about coffee and the French Press, let’s get brewing!
