Giving Birth: What To Pack In Your Hospital Bag
Packing your hospital bag for your first baby can be stressful. Am I packing enough? Too much? The right things? The wrong things? (you can’t really pack the wrong things unless your packing whisky or wine of course)
The size of my bag differed from my first baby to my second. I know more about what i needed for the second time around.

What to pack in your hospital bag for Baby?
- Baby Vests x3
- Sleepsuits x3
- Hats
- Mittens
- Nappies
- Cotton Wool
- Bottles (if not breastfeeding)
- Fomula (if not breastfeeding)
- Blanket
- Snowsuit (if Winter)
What to pack in your hospital bag for you?
Pack anything that you find helps relaxes you and makes you feel comfortable, but also my list of suggestions is:
- Huge sanity pads
- Deodorant
- Hair Brush
- Toiletries
- Tooth brush ect
- Nighty for labour
- Nightwear for after birth
- Something comfortable to wear home
- Slippers
- A good book
- Sweets for energy
- Phone charger
- Mobile phone
- Pen
- Hairbands
- Makeup (only if you normally do it everyday)
Good luck with your labour. Remember you don’t have to compete with anyone. If you need help then ask for it. If you need people to stop talking to you, then tell them. This is your labour and something you will never forget, so make it right for you.
